Indoor Camera Reviews

Guardzilla’s indoor cameras are wire-free and work with rechargeable lithium AA batteries.

360 Indoor

Guardzilla GZ360 360 Indoor Security CameraView on Amazon

This Guardzilla 360 model is for indoor use only and features impressive 360° motion detection and night vision capabilities. It also has three built-in call buttons so you can send push notifications to designated smartphone numbers. Unfortunately, your only mounting option for this model is on a flat surface. And if you’re looking for local video storage, you’ll have to go with their 180 models.

180 Indoor

Guardzilla 180 Indoor Security CameraView on Amazon

While the Guardzilla 180 indoor model only gives you a 180° field of view (which is still fantastic compared to many other security cameras), you can mount it on a flat surface or hang it on a wall or ceiling with a magnetic mount. It also has a built-in microSD card slot, which can save up to 5 days of continuous recording. If you don’t want to rely solely on cloud storage, this could be the model for you.

Price: $59.99

GZ502B Indoor

Guardzilla GZ502B All-In-One Video Security SystemView on Amazon

This is Guardzilla’s older model and has worse resolution and field of view than many of their other cameras. You have flexible mounting options and also get local storage with this indoor-only camera, but we think you can do better with other models.

Outdoor Camera Reviews

Guardzilla’s outdoor/indoor cameras give you the option of using them wire-free with rechargeable lithium AA batteries or with the included A/C adapter and 10-foot power cord. We recommend using the batteries for backup if the power goes out.

360 Outdoor

Guardzilla Outdoor 360 Panoramic HD WiFi Security CameraView on Amazon

This Guardzilla 360 model features award-winning 360° motion detection and night vision features. If you want 360° and flexible mounting options, this is a better choice than the 360 indoor-only model. You use the magnetic mount to hang it on a wall, ceiling or eave or place it on the camera stand on any flat surface.

Unfortunately, like the indoor 360 model, this one doesn’t have a built-in microSD card slot. And the siren on this model is slightly quieter (90db vs 100 db) than all the other Guardzilla cameras.

180 Outdoor

The Guardzilla 180 outdoor camera has multiple mounting options. The only major difference between this model and the 180 indoor-only camera is the A/C power option. It also has a built-in microSD card slot.

Price: $49.99

This budget-line model has flexible mounting options. It has the same lower resolution and a narrower field of view of its indoor-only counterpart; however, it doesn’t have a built-in microSD card slot like that model does.

24/7 Professional Monitoring

This add-on service allows you to alert Guardzilla’s nationwide professional monitoring service via your smartphone app if one of your cameras detects motion and you see that there’s an intruder in or around your home (or if you don’t dismiss the motion detection alert). Their professional operators will contact your designated emergency contacts. If they can’t reach your contacts, their operators will contact your local police department.

  • $9.99/month

Tip: Be wary of getting professional monitoring for motion-detection cameras because they can trigger smartphone alerts for many things, like moths or even debris, crossing the sensors. If you know you’ll always see motion-detection alerts on your phone to be able to dismiss your alerts, then all’s good. If not, the last thing you want is police showing up at your home or business based on inconsequential occurances.

What Are Some Alternatives To Guardzilla Cameras?

Guardzilla’s WiFi cameras are among the most affordable you can find on the market. And their 360° cameras are truly innovative. While some customers have no complaints, others have run into a myriad of problems with all of Guardzilla’s models, from poor video quality and buggy apps to constant WiFi connection issues. We think you can do better if your budget allows.
