How Do Customers Chime In?
Here’s a balanced sampling of customer feedback from those who’ve purchased the Ring camera and doorbell.
Positive Ring Security Reviews
Knowing when you have someone at your front door while you’re at work is a beautiful thing. I know when a package has been dropped off. I know when the Gas Company has come into the yard to read the meter and I can even hear my dog barking through the door when he hears a knock or ring of the door bell. All this information is received right through an app on my phone. The more I know about events at my house while I’m not present the more I feel at ease. – “Amazon Purchaser,” Amazon 10/11/2016
This product is as easy and fast to install as the video reflects. It also works perfectly. Both my husband and I receive a notice on our iPhones when someone rings the doorbell. We can see the person at the door and respond to them, even if we are not at home. Truly a terrific and effective security tool. I recommend it without reservation. TJJ, Amazon 10/3/2016
Negative Ring Security Reviews
Trouble with setup, had to call customer support. Helped me through the issue with my WiFi, great. Then I couldn’t get the cloud service to work to store the videos, called customer support. They couldn’t figure out the issue and said they would call me back. Over the next several days I tried and tried to tweak the motion range to pickup only movement on the front porch. Could never get it right. It would either pick up NOTHING, or pick up every single car that drove by. Decided to return it. – B. Snell, Amazon 10/13/2016
Ring Doorbell works great when it is working. But it also disconnects from my wifi on a regular basis. They add insult to the owner by posting the following message: “Your Internet connection is not currently working. Please check your connection and pull down to refresh the screen” While this is happening, other devices that I own are not having any problems connecting to the internet and some of them are farther away. – Dan M., Amazon 10/10/2016
