Our eHealthInsurance review below will give you all the information you need to see if it’s the good service for you to consider.
What’s The Difference? eHealthInsurance vs Healthcare.gov
eHealthInsurance is like Travelocity or Expedia for the health insurance world (granted, without the fun end result of a trip). eHealthInsurance is an insurance broker that earns commission for the provider referrals they provide consumers. They partner with dozens of insurance providers to give you full access to all of their plans, rates, and coverage options—all found in eHealthInsurance’s easily searchable database.
eHealthInsurance is a great alternative to using healthcare.gov, the federal government’s searchable database of insurance providers. Healthcare.gov has come a long way since its glitchy launch in October 2013, but it has some limitations compared to eHealthInsurance—the most notable being the number of insurance providers and plans you can find. eHealth insurance has roughly 45% additional insurance plans to choose from compared to healthcare.gov.

What’s The Buzz About eHealthInsurance?
Here are some reviews from health insurance seekers about their experiences using E-Health Insurance.
Positive eHealthInsurance Reviews
My experience was smooth and easy. When I called customer service I didn’t have to wait at all. My questions were answered seamlessly without any pressure. – Courtney C., TrustPilot 5/19/2016
I couldn’t be happier with the service I have received… It just makes me happy that there are sites that categorize things in a way that shows they care. The prices are a lot higher than they were 10 years ago, but the staff is friendly, highly knowledgeable and the insurance plans are better than any that I have seen thus far. I recommend this site for anybody that can qualify for coverage. – Andy31793, ResellerRatings 5/3/2016
Negative eHealthInsurance Reviews
I have spent a total of 3 hours on hold without talking to a single person through EHealth. I initiated the chat feature where a completely different policy was shown under my name, email, number, and phone. After spending 45mins getting this straightened out with 3 different attempts in the website’s chat (All names are generic) they finally got the right policy pulled up and told me I have to call them to cancel. – ZRated1234, Reseller Ratings 2/16/2016
Getting a policy is easy with these folks, then it goes downhill. Every time I went through their phone tree and finally reached the customer service representative, the person on the line was rude and sometimes insulting. Once I was on hold for 38 minutes before giving up. Another time I was on hold for 20 minutes and was told that I would be transferred to another person, but was hung up on… – Ilias S., TrustPilot 12/25/2015

Worried You Won’t Qualify?
One of the many reasons uninsured Americans don’t enroll is because they don’t think they’ll qualify for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, so they don’t even look into it. But the fact is you’ll never know if you don’t take that first step. eHealthInsurance makes it easy to see if you qualify and helps guide you through the process. Yes, searching for health insurance is a hassle but eHealthInsurance takes a lot of the headache out of a necessary chore!
