It brands itself as a security system, but we’d like to point out that it’s a camera and speaker only; there are no door/window sensors, environmental sensors, etc.

You can control your Altec camera, play music, ask questions and more through the voice-activated speaker. It is WiFi and Bluetooth-enabled and delivers an immersive stereo sound.

How Does Altec Lansing Compare?

View on Amazon

The Altec Lansing WiFi security camera doesn’t come without issues, as you can see from our review. We wish the cameras stayed connected to WiFi better and don’t like that customers are forced to purchase a speaker with each camera (although at least they’re comparatively affordable).

Overall the company isn’t transparent about product warranty or cloud storage details, and we ran into many technical issues with the company’s website not working. We couldn’t even get the contact form to work.

The good news is we review a host of other options in our best WiFi security camera article.

Would you choose Altec Lansing based on the price alone?
