Battery Backup

If the power goes out in your home, battery backup will keep your Link Interactive system on and your home protected. Link Interactive has an 8-hour battery backup for its 2Gig Go!Control panel and 24-hour battery backup for its IQ Panel 2 (24 hours is the standard in home security).

As soon as the power goes out, Link Interactive sends you a text alerting you of the outage. The battery backup with automatically kick in. The backup battery is rechargeable, so once power is restored, the battery will recharge back to 8 or 24 hours, so it is ready for any future needs.

The entire system will continue to work during a power outage unless the equipment requires a high-speed internet connection or AC power (e.g., cameras). Door/window sensors, motion sensors, glass break sensors, etc. do not require internet or AC power, so they will work with battery backup and you will be informed of any triggers to these devices.

Negative Reviews

If I could give them a negative star, I would. This company supplies the cheapest equipment I have seen and will not last. Equipment is missing pieces that allow the equipment to mounted. The “customer service rep” implied that I was too stupid to figure out how to mount the components. The customer service is horrible and there is NO way to get out of the 3 year contract. They will not credit your account for any of the system’s failings. Their “oh I am sorry to hear that,” is supposed to make up for the wasted money. For a 3 year contract, you should have 365 days to try out the system. If they believed in their product, it would have that warranty… – John, Consumer Affairs 3/13/2019

After multiple issues with our service, we got out of our contract and our last day is 2/4/19.  Last night we discovered that we were locked out of our account and they disconnected us.  They will not help us over the phone and tell us we have to call Monday for help.  What type of alarm monitoring company can’t help you on the weekend?
