I’ve been with 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty for a few years now and the service person that they sent out for my recent claim was the first one that was competent and knew what they were doing. Dealing with 2-10 is kind of a double-edged sword because most of the time they send somebody that knows nothing. I have to get the service person back two or three times or have a different service person brought in. I will never have a warranty with Two Ten Home Warranty again. I have had to use them twice for ac issues. Had 2 different contractors come even though it was only a little over a month since the first visit. This time my refrigerator went out. I called after 24 hrs and was told they were having problems finding a contractor in my area and they needed another 24 hrs. I called after 36 hrs and was told they still hadn’t found a contractor in my area but I could find my own contractor and have him call and give them all his info and get the work done. I tried every contractor in my area and they all refused to work with Two Ten. One contractor said he had been paid with gift certificates and not money. I called again this evening and was told I could get a contractor and pay him then I could work with them to be reimbursed. Which was not what I was told earlier. I figure if the contractors couldn’t get paid I wouldn’t have much luck either. Since my food I had unloaded from my refrigerator was now rotting away in coolers I chose to buy a new refrigerator and cancel my plan. It’s like you have to stay after them constantly. It’s not worth the aggravation and the $800+ I paid them this past year.

i have had them 5 yrs now their service is very slow on ac work to non existant -3 weeks with no ac to get a contractor out.they have replaced the coil in my ac last summer now say it needs replacing again and want another 634$ for (“Uncovered expenses”)
and i will change companies after this contract runs out . after 23 yrs as a realtor i have worked with many warranty companies-this one used to be good but not anymore!

What 2-10 WON’T do is properly select and monitor their contractors. I have been without an icemaker for 5+ weeks and without electricity in 3 bedrooms because the service people sent to fix the problems didn’t and won’t show up when scheduled. Multiple phone calls to repair persons AND 2-10 to let them know these items still not working. 2-10 refuses to send a different repair person unless we pay another fee.
