What Do Customers Think?
We skimmed some of Foscam’s customer reviews and found a couple to share with you.
I bought this camera because I had a break-in and really wanted some affordable security at home. So far it’s been working out great. Pros: Easy setup, lots of monitoring features and options, clear picture, and a great ability to adjust when I’m away. Cons: I think it would be cool if they came in more color options than black and white! – Blicero68, Walmart 8/22/2017 (Foscam R2)
We use this camera as a room monitor to make sure our pets are safe. We bought a second for security purposes. It’s easy to use when it’s set up, and you can view it from anywhere in the world right on your phone. It’s easy to set up initially, but to ramp up the security settings (making it difficult to hack) it took talking to tech support. Fortunately tech support was super helpful and easy to reach. – scottledanse, BH Photo 12/20/2014 (Foscam FI9821P)
This ipcam is NOT ready for primetime. Will not connect wireless – can only use with IE – with Chrome if you install a clunky patch – will NOT work with Firefox. Calling tech was a waste of time, I know more about IPforwarding and network setup than they do. Can only view cam on phone if you are connected to wireless network – does NOT work over 3/4G. Tech guy insisted the cam would do 3/4G but couldn’t understand that cellphones are behind a NAT and require cloud to see. Do not waste you time or money – a terrible ip cam. Have serious doubts about any of Foscam products. – The Tango, BH Photo 5/18/2015 (Foscam FI9821W)

Using Foscam As A Baby Monitor
Although there is a Foscam baby monitor (FosBaby), you can also use regular WiFi cameras as a baby monitor. In fact, many customers have written reviews stating how they’ve used Foscam instead of the typical baby monitor. Check out the video below on how you could use Foscam as a baby monitor.
Warning: A WiFi camera would not be our first pick for a baby monitor because of stories like this where someone could hack into it. As always, do your own research and do what’s best for your family. We would recommend one of these baby monitors instead.
