What Are Authorized Resellers?

ADT security systems are sold through authorized resellers*. This means the company you use to get your ADT system could be different than someone who lives in the neighboring county. Therefore, your costs and customer service will vary, even when the equipment, contracts and general installation tend to be similar.

ADT Pulse Dome Camera MDC835

The installation for these cameras is a bit more intensive than the other outdoor cameras. Installers use a cable to connect the transformers to your control panel, so there’s a cable running from each of these cameras to the control panel.

These cameras are hardwired and provide a dependable connection, but they may require more drilling and create more of an eyesore with wires running throughout your home. When technicians visit your home, they will speak to you about the best route to connect these cameras to your control panel.

These outdoor dome cameras are good less-reliable WiFi.

ADT Pulse OC835 Camera

These cameras connect to the control panel wirelessly through your WiFi signal. They require AC power to operate, and as long as they have a strong WiFi signal, they should operate smoothly. When technicians visit your home, they will make sure to install these cameras within WiFi range of your control panel.

These outdoor wireless cameras are good if you don’t want to mess with cables or drilling.

Did You Know?

Your internet provider will know if your home can support these cameras. They are WiFi-based, so you’ll need fast internet service.
