Installation

If you already have ADT, you can add these cameras to your system without a professional. If you don’t, sign up with one of our recommended providers.

ADT Pulse Dome Camera MDC835

  1. Connect the camera to the internet.
    1. Wired: Use an ethernet cable (not included) to connect the LAN port to the control panel.
    2. Wireless: Launch an internet browser and log in to the Pulse portal. Select the Systems tab and click Manage Devices. Click Cameras -> Add Using WPS button at the bottom of the screen. Enter the PIN (located on the camera) in the WPS PIN field. Make sure the camera is powered on and click Continue. A screen appears. Press and hold the WPS/RESET button on the camera for 5 seconds. (Be sure to complete the WPS connection within 2 minutes, or it will time out.) The Network/WPS LED flashes amber as it attempts to connect to the camera.
  2. Run the AC Wire to the spice connector.
  3. Screw the red wire onto the positive (+) terminal of the adapter.
  4. Screw the black wire onto the negative (-) terminal of the adapter.
  5. Plug the adapter into a power outlet.
  6. The Power LED turns on briefly and then starts blinking. It will continue to blink during startup for about 1 minute. After startup the Power LED should remain on.
  7. Enroll the camera in ADT Pulse (page 9 here)
  8. Mount the camera near a power source.

ADT Pulse OC835 Camera

  1. Attach the camera stand to the camera.
  2. Connect the camera to the internet.
    1. Wired: Connect a USB to ethernet adapter (not included) to the USB port of the camera. Then use an ethernet cable (not included) to connect to the control panel.
    2. Wireless: Launch an internet browser and log in to the Pulse portal. Select the Systems tab and click Manage Devices. Click Cameras -> Add Using WPS button at the bottom of the screen. Enter the PIN (located on the camera) in the WPS PIN field. Make sure the camera is powered on and click Continue. A screen appears. Press and hold the WPS/RESET button on the camera for 5 seconds. (Be sure to complete the WPS connection within 2 minutes, or it will time out.) The Network/WPS LED flashes amber as it attempts to connect to the camera.
  3. Connect the 12V power adapter to the camera and power up. The Power LED turns on briefly and then starts blinking. It will continue to blink during startup for about 1 minute. After startup the Power LED should remain on.
  4. Power LED should be on by now, and the Network/WPS LED should be solid green.
  5. Enroll the camera in ADT Pulse (page 11 here)
  6. Mount the camera near a power source.
