Article Overview

Protect America Cameras

All of Protect America’s cameras integrate into its security system. You can view your video feed and recorded footage in the Protect America app (iOS | Android).

Additionally, Protect America gives up to $1,400 worth of wireless equipment for free if you sign up for one of their monitoring plans. So although we’ve included some Amazon prices where available, please know that you may not need to pay for your equipment if it falls below $1,400.

Can My Camera Trigger The Alarm?

You’re probably wondering, can a camera event set off your alarm? No, in fact, we don’t know of any home security company where a camera triggers an alarm event. This does work in reverse, however — if one of your security sensors gets tripped, your cameras will activate, start recording and you can view the footage shortly after via app or website.

Where Should I Place My Outdoor Cameras?

Think about where thieves are most likely to enter your home. Most break-ins occur at the front door, but if there are easily accessible windows or rear doors, you may want to get a second camera to cover these areas.

If you have a carport instead of garage, you can point an outdoor camera at your vehicles.

Indoor Cameras

Protect America has two indoor camera options.
